She also wrote Silver Wedding and London Transports. Binchy has passed away and she is sorely misses by millions of readers and fans.
Firefly summer, is a compelling family drama that takes place in a town called Mountfern, Ireland. Kate Ryan is the main character of Firefly Summer. She and her husband John have a much loved pub in Mountfern. They also are parents to set of 12 year old twins. The couple had wonderful dreams but everything began to change when an American Millionaire Patrick O’Neill came to town. O’Neill had a pocketful of money and lots of charm. He caused the town of Mountfern to come out of its sleepy comfortable heart and mixed up their love, their hate, and their traditions.
Firefly Summer is a really great read. I have read all of Maeve Binchy’s books and this novel is my favorite. I miss her books terribly. No one could put their characters of their novels into your hearts and make them come alive like Binchy,
